Maggie Graham was born in Paisley, Scotland. During her high school
years she discovered her passion for drawing and painting – portraits,
animals and birds. With the encouragement of her art teachers, she
continued her art studies and entertained herself on those long Scottish
winter evenings by sketching.

In 1979 Maggie immigrated to California joining many British that were
recruited by the silicone valley CA computer industry.

Being in the computer industry left little or no time for her art, so when
she moved to Florida she delved into her art once more. Another great
passion of Maggie’s is her three Dachshunds – Rafferty, Tequila and
Skye. Being an animal lover Maggie volunteered at a Wildlife Center in
Florida and eventually obtained her Wildlife rehabilitates license.
During that time she had the chance to utilize another hobby –
photography. Many of Maggie’s paintings are of the animals she took
care of at the wildlife center. "Bilfred" the bald eagle, is one of many
bird portraits.

During their travels between CA to Florida Maggie and Bob discovered
Asheville, and moved here in Nov. 2005. Maggie has more than once made
the comment that if she had known about Asheville she would have moved
here much sooner. It reminds her so much of the hills and valleys of
Scotland.

Bob and Maggie bought the FASTFRAME store in Nov. 2006; it was the
ideal choice being the combination of her artwork and Bob's skills in
design and woodwork. A major plus is that their much-loved Dachshunds
play their role in the business by giving customers a warm friendly
welcome.
